Storylines

We're starting from the beginning of both series', meaning that the characters from both Yu-Gi-Oh! and Sailor Moon will at least be between the ages of 12-16 depending on their current age five years into the future. We're starting five years back to when Sailor Moon came to be and when well Yuugi first got the puzzle. Choose a storyline below to participate in and make sure you look at the threads first before selecting series characters please. Thank you.

YGO|SM Series Character Rules

These are some Series Character rules made specifically for canon characters. A canon character is a character that comes from a certain show. Now, Here are a set of rules, and what to do and not to do when RPing them:

1. Be Active- When choosing a character from either Sailor Moon or Yu-Gi-Oh! you have to try and be as active on the forum as much as you can. If you've taken a character(s) from one of the lists and you become inactive for a month or longer, the character will be taken away from you, especially when you don't post a drop out thread. Also, if you're going to be the type that's busy constantly do to the fact that you have to go to school, please be so kind as to make a character of your own creation and do not pick characters from the series's if you're not going to be online often to use them. That's just unfair towards members who do get on and may need the character(s) you have in threads.

2. Be Involved- This is very important when selecting a character from either SM or YGO. Once you've chosen and registered the characters you want, be sure to realize that they will be needed in pre-set storylines for if you're Rping with other members on the forum, they will more than likely be participating in a current storyline so rather than isolating yourself too much to do your own thing, just be aware of what's going on and try to be somewhat involved. That's all we ask.

3. Communication- This rule is definitely going to be enforced. When on a forum, you have to realize you're not the only one on it and therefore you need to learn to RP with different members to be able to come up with more ideas for the characters that you have. Sure there's nothing wrong with Rping with those you are familiar with but sometimes you have to learn to be more open minded and expand with others so they don't feel left out. Make new members and those you've not RPed with before feel welcome. Not just ignore them whenever they're online because it's plain rude. That goes for ignoring regular members who aren't new. Try to avoid lack of communication with each other. Share ideas with each other, build on those ideas. Don't just turn them down because the more you do that with a player, the less they'll want to give you ideas and RP with you.

4. Type Clearly- When creating and replying to threads, TRY to use complete sentences and paragraphs in your posts. Always space between sentences, so it can be read more clearly. No one is going to want to RP with you if you type like someone who needs to go back to elementary school. Be aware that others may type more paragraphs to the point they're long posts. So all of you might want to brush up on some English skills because those short one liner sentences aren't gonna cut it. Those aren't allowed unless you can't truly think of anything and if that's the case, take a break from threads for a little bit. Be sure to use proper capitalization. Some pronouns, such as I, are also capitalized. If you need help, refer to an English usage book at your college library or local library.

5. Play Fairly- If you're going to play characters from either one of the two series's or both, you need to be willing to work with each other. That means, no going completely off the wall in your posts, no rushing to end a thread by having the character god mod and use their powers to end a fight scene quickly, use their powers to avoid being in situations where they have to explain themselves, and no having them create scenarios in a thread that don't exist. If such problems arise in a thread, do NOT start fighting in it. Instead, talk to the player(s) that you're Rping with. Resolve the matter outside of the thread in private to avoid conflict.

6. Personal Problems- This rule is very important and to avoid any misunderstandings I'm going to make this very clear: Do NOT turn cannon characters into you. This means, don't let your problems in real life affect how you RP a series character you've chosen. It's very common, however, to put a little of yourself into every character that you play but there comes a point when it goes too damn far. When you start having the character acting the opposite of themselves, lets say having a sweet character act like a total bitch being all depressed over something from the past and no matter what ideas you give that member, they make up an excuse NOT to want to use the characters. Don't take characters if you're not going to use them right. If your life is stressing you out either give up the character and give it to someone else or let someone else RP it temporarily until you feel up to doing it yourself again. Because if it comes to a point where members find it difficult to RP with you and the character you have because they feel you're not Rping them how they should be, staff has the right to take the character from you. No ifs, ands, or buts. Now if you want to discuss what is bothering you or vent in the vent board, that's more than fine. But don't push your problems off on a series character making them act differently than how they should be.

7. Cannon Characters in Character- No matter what character you take from SM or YGO, you must at all times keep that character IN character if you're going to be Rping one. This rules chalks up to number six where it mentions personal problems affecting how you RP the series character(s) you have. They will be taken from you regardless of how you feel about it. Chew staff out all you want, that's not gonna make us give you the character(s) that you have, back. Straighten up your act and maybe we'll think about it. Also, concerning relationships, if you're gonna have these characters fall in love with other members characters, do NOT turn them into sluts that go on the prowl looking for the next piece of ass. If you're that type of member that just likes to RP sexual threads all the time, no matter what character you have, you will not be allowed to take series character(s). It is against proboards TOS and I will not allow it here nor will any of the other members. Do it on your own forum, don't bring it to mine. If you're horny, go elsewhere, don't take SM and YGO characters just so you can get your rocks off. Hell no, not gonna happen. First chance someone tries, character(s) will be taken from you and you will be marked 'Forum Traitor'.

8. Sharing Ideas- There is nothing wrong with sharing ideas with other members. That is allowed and it is okay as long as the ideas aren't stolen from someone else without their permission you at least have to test out the ideas you've come up with before deciding automatically that you don't want to do it because you feel as if it won't work. It helps to make sure that members and their characters don't feel left out of the loop to what is going on. But you at least have to try out the ideas and build onto them instead of just saying 'No' all the time. If you're one of those members who whines about they're not being Rped with or you have a character that isn't always getting attention, then you might want to do something to make that character(s) interesting that way no one will look them over. This goes for series and Ocs. Also, when coming up with ideas to share, do not go stealing ideas from people. Thread wise or character wise do NOT steal them. If we catch you stealing ideas and you've not asked if you could use them, you will be called out on it with a warning. You do it again, you will be marked 'Forum Traitor' for at least a week. And before I forget, those of you who have those fan girl/fan boy crushes on anime characters, please do not start assuming that your character is dating the character you like. If that person has not said anything about creating a relationship with your character then you have no right to get upset. We don't need fights breaking out or anyone pity dating your character. So grow the hell up, no means no and if you can't take a hint staff will step in.

9. Main Storylines|Side Storylines- We know a lot of you like to RP your own ideas off to the side amongst other members but here's were staff says if you're not participating in a storyline that's currently going on alongside the rest of us, please DO NOT jump into threads you don't belong in for we do not need to try and figure out how to RP our way around your interrupting post. Posts that interrupt the flow of what some of us are doing. And what I mean by threads I mean 'Storyline Threads'. Not open threads. Also, concerning storylines, if the characters you have are needed in a main one, please put forth your participation in the required thread. However, if you don't want the character you have in it, let staff know so that we can remove that character's name from the thread participation. But don't go using that character later in an interrupting post because doing that when you've said you already didn't want to join will allow staff to take the character you used in a thread that didn't concern you, away and put it back up for grabs or give it to someone who'll use it correctly.

10. Other Series Characters- This is very important because not only do these rules apply to the SM and YGO characters but they also apply to other series characters you bring in from other shows. Keep their personalities in check if you're going to RP them here. That even means if a staff member asks you would you mind Rping a particular character from another show and you go and watch that show and you decide you don't like how the character is portrayed, that's not for you to decide. Whether you like how the character acts or not is not your choice. If you don't like how the character you've been asked to RP is, you don't HAVE to RP it. We don't need you changing them around to act more like how you would if you were in their situation. So, if you bring in other anime characters, do right by them because even if you registered the character yourself, staff can still take it away from you and give it to someone else whether you like it or not. And when we do, if you fly off the handle about it, it's no one's fault but your own and you will be marked 'Forum Traitor' if you talk back to staff because we took away a character from you. Tough shit, get over it.
