YGO/SM v3.0 Rules
1. Positive posting - meaning no posting of any kind that offends any of the other members. If someone reports it to me, the thread will be deleted.
2. No Spamming - That is what the venting area is for. If you're upset about something, post about it in there. If you’re just doing random posting for no reason what so ever, post it in the venting area.
3. Report Abuse - If there is a member not obeying the forum rules, it is the responsibility of a member to let a moderator or I know what is going on. Otherwise, if we see a member disobeying the rules, immediate action will be taken.
4. Disclaimer - If there are topics in the forum that you think are not suitable for some of the other members, please put up a disclaimer like a rating from G to Pg-13 so they'll all know not to read it. We need no arguments about someone's topic being graphic. Please use a disclaimer on your threads.
5. Harassment/Threats - Don’t harass or threaten any of the other members for whatever the reason may be. This message board is meant for everyone to have fun. Harassment or threats will automatically get you banned. Now if the threat was made outside of the forum, there is nothing I can do about that seeing it was not to where I can see it or read it. So don't ask me to do anything about it when it wasn't mentioned anywhere on the forum that someone was threatened.
6. Problems - If you are having a problem with another member, please PM moderator or me and we'll get right on the situation. Don't wait until it's too late before you decide to tell us. And if you're the same person all the time that likes to PM me or another staff about the same person all the time, nine times out of ten I will ignore you from now on. Don't bother me and the other staff for petty, whiny nonsense. Thank you.
7. Introductions - Everyone, and I mean everyone, must introduce themselves on the message board as soon as you sign up. You'll have two weeks to a month to do so. If you do not, you're account will be deleted because I cannot have accounts on my board that are not being used. Don't sign up if you're not going to come back and use your account like everyone else.
8. Dropping-Out – If you’re planning on leaving the board for a few days, vacation, or if you’re leaving the board in general, make sure you make a thread in the Dropping-Out board to let us know that so we won’t be wondering what happened to you. If you do not post a drop out thread even if you've posted a character and what not, your account can still be subject for deletion if you don't log into it for so many months.
9. Ranking – I do not select moderators by how many posts they make anymore. For now the only rank new members should concern themselves with is 'Non Role Playing Member' and 'Forum Tratior'.
10. Threads Topics - Please post in the appropriate forum. Forum topics that are not in their proper places will be move to where they should be.
11. Insulting Administration or Moderators - This is absolutely not allowed under any circumstances. You will be labeled as "Forum Traitor" for two weeks until you straighten up your act. If the problem persists, two more weeks to a month will be added on until I decide to remove it. If it continues, then your account will automatically be banned from the board.
12. Sharing Accounts - No sharing accounts. Members who like the forum and want to join must make their own accounts. No exceptions.
13. Fanfiction/Fanart/Original Characters - Everyone has a right to voice their opinion about your work. Whether it be harsh or not. If you can't accept that then don't post your stuff here. And another thing, make sure that your fanfictions are free of mistakes (don't mind it if you have a little bit of them but not a whole lot). If you work looks and reads like crap, then I'm taking it off. There's just no excuse for half-assed work.
14. Accounts - Everyone can make more than one account to the board but in doing so, if you make more than one, you have to be an active member on all of them. Just don't waste board space by making another account but stop using your other ones. And also if you're a new member signing up at the forum, don't register more than once on other accounts in one day. That is a big no-no. If you have not been on the forum long enough and registered a lot of characters, then you don't need to be making other accounts right away. You need to wait. If you make more than one account when you first sign up, they will be deleted depending on however many that are made. (Once again, download 'FireFox, Netscape Navigator 9, Flock, and/or Opera brower.')
15. PMing me or Moderators - If you don't have a good logical and problem solving reason to PM me, then don't PM me at all. If they're real problems and real issues I'll reply to you. Not petty little 'boy cried wolf' messages. Stop it because it drives me crazy. (Previous experiences that I'd like to forget with this rule). And if you continued to complain to me or any other staff, you will be labeled 'Forum Traitor' instead of the person you're asking us to get rid of.
16. Deleted Posts - If I deleted a topic that was posted because I didn't approve of it, DO NOT POST IT BACK UP. If I took it down once because of something in it that I didn't like, I don't want to see it again. If I see it again, it better be clean and non-offensive or I will remove it again and I better not see it EVER again.
17. Useless Posts - Anyone who attempts to write meaningless posts at a constant rate just to get their ranking up higher then everyone else will have their post count put down depending on how many posts you've made, and will be labeled as "Forum Traitor" for 2 weeks. If this action persists, then that member will be banned from the message-board.
18. Apply for Moderator Position - When you apply for a position to be a staff, what I look for is what type of past programming experience you've had. If you don't have ANY, then I can't give you a position. Keep in mind that these positions are a privilege. Abuse them and they will be taken away, plus you will be labeled 'Forum Traitor' for a month and their posts will drop down to 0. Follow the Staff Team Jobs and forum rules and everything shall work perfectly.
19. Stealing - If anyone steals someone else’s idea, be it fan fiction, original character or made up card, you will be banned from the message board, no questions asked. Even if you say it was a joke, you will be banned and be not allowed to return to the message board again. Don't steal anyone's work because you wouldn't want someone to steal anything of yours.
20. Forum Traitor - You’ll only be labeled ‘Forum Traitor’ only if you’ve broken a forum rule. And if you have, you will have this label on you for two weeks and will not be able to role-play on the board until your sentence is up. And no bugging me, the Moderators or the Secondary Administrator about is there something you can do to lift your sentence early. There’s not so don’t ask.
